Sample Announcement

Here is a sample text that you might like to use to share the Parshat Noach Sustainability Project with your friends or community members.

This Shabbat, Parshat Noach, synagogues and organizations across the Jewish community are joining together to learn about the importance of protecting the environment in the context of Parshat Noach.  Working as a united Jewish community on an issue of great importance to the world, our actions and learning can inspire us to renewed levels of sustainability and responsibility for Creation in the coming year. 

Canfei Nesharim, an organization that promotes "sustainable living inspired by Torah," has created Torah-based learning resources, school lesson plans, and scientific fact sheets about environmental issues to support individuals and communities participating in Parshat Noach activities.  To learn more, check out their Parshat Noach Sustainability Project at http://canfeinesharim.org/learning/ideas.php?page=21319.
